Whoops! You may have noticed that posts to this blog have been a bit thin on the ground recently, and it looks like life is going to take me away from blogging for a while. The main event is that we're moving house in a few weeks time and the deadline for clearing that loft is looming. My long-promised follow-up article on The Secret (The Good Bits) is half completed but I don't have the spare time and brain cells to finish it off at the moment. Sorry about that! So what I'm planning to do is to take a semi-sabbatical from the blog. I shall still be doing the occasional post so that the site doesn't fall off the blogosphere radar entirely but I won't be resuming frequent posts again till later in the year, when I shall bounce back all reinvigorated and brimming over with new ideas. I hope you will bear with me!
If you haven't already done so, this might be a good time to subscribe to email updates to The Secret Of Life, so that you'll know when I make these occasional posts and also when normal service is resumed. Just enter your email address in the box in the sidebar - I won't misuse it, honestly. Alternatively, you could use the 'Add Me" widget to bookmark this blog with your favourite bookmarking service. I'm not too up on how these work, but I'm sure that you are...
I've been enjoying writing this blog and I'm looking forward to having the the time to return to it. I'd originally envisioned a series of anecdotal posts with a vaguely spiritual theme, but it soon became a full-blown blog about spirituality, which has made keeping up with frequent posts more demanding than I'd intended. I use the word 'frequent' rather guardedly here because my five months' worth of posts at an average of less than two per week is not too impressive when you compare it with some amazing souls who go on blogging daily for year after year. I have great admiration for people like Jennifer, Mark, and Desiree, who produce thoughtful, inspiring posts on a daily (or almost daily) basis. I hope you will keep up with them (and the other wonderful blogs in my sidebar) while I'm away. I shall certainly be keeping an eye on them myself.
Thank you so much for reading and special thanks to those who have left comments. (Please continue to do so!) I've met some wonderful people and it's been fun chatting with you all. I look forward to writing here again soon...
(Like I say, I'll be carrying on with occasional posts. I hope to have the Power Of Attraction post completed in a few weeks' time. In the meantime, do feel free to browse through the archives or take a look at the latest conversations in the comments. The last one was like a post in itself... Click here for Global Meditation/Prayer and here for Positive Thinking For Beginners.)
How ironic that I read this post from you after having decided that today will be the day for me to start catching up on lost time with your blog. After having been your very first commenter, I immediately stopped reading, always intending to pick it up again "later". Today has marked the start of that, and I've now read all of October's and November's posts and comments. Nice work! From what I've seen so far, you've got a great community here. I'm looking forward to catching up on the rest -- and maybe when I get there, you'll be back to posting at your regular frequency again.
One of my reasons for writing today is to mention a blog tour that Eric Maisel is planning in April in connection with his new website http://www.tenzenseconds.com and I wondered if you'd like to be considered as a stop on his tour? Drop me an e-mail if so and I can forward you the details. (Same goes to other commenters here who think that Eric would be interested in their blogs.)
All the best with your house move, and I look forward to catching up with you again soon.

I'm sorry to hear you'll be taking a break. I always look forward to your posts! I'll still look forward to when you do post. I'll make sure to sign up to your feed so I wont miss out when you do! Thank you for mentioning me in your post. I truly appreciate your kind words and what an honor to be seated next to two awesome and prolific bloggers such as, Mark and Jennifer. Good luck Simon in all your endeavors and God bless!

Good luck with the move. If you believe it'll happen then it will.

I'm sorry you're taking a break...but it will give me a good excuse to read the rest of your blog...at my leisure!
I look forward to your return, Simon, I have enjoyed , and of course, will continue to enjoy, your site. You're a great writer with much to say and teach.

Many thanks to you all for your comments here which are very much appreciated! And great to hear back from you, Pam, after all this time. I hope you'll be a regular here when things get properly up and running again. In the meantime, I've managed to pop out a post today and, what is more, we've actually found a house to move to now, which was the all important missing ingredient in the move before. A nice bit of practical application of the law of attraction, eh? Mind you, we had a bit of help from Sally, who is rather good at it...
We still have an "overlap" in the move and will be going into temporary accommodation in between leaving this house and moving into the new one, which is why it's all a bit convoluted. So for the time being, it will be down from a three bedroom house to a one bed flat for me and Chris. Plenty of opportunity for spiritual development there...
