I just discovered this video on You Tube. I think you may like it...
You can read the message around which the video is built here. Research on the net suggests that it may not come from the Hopi Elders at all, but may in fact be the work of a Cherokee Elder. It still speaks to me, whoever its author may be...
((Additional Note: There's an interesting discussion about Hopi prophecy and the possible validity of this message here.))
Thank you Simon. You seem to be so connected to events and ideas around the world. SO glad I am connected to you!

:) I love this message, too, Simon! It's been floating around for a few years as a Hopi message, but it's nice to know that you've found the true author! (Maybe because I'm a writer myself, having a piece of work attributed to the correct author seems 'important' to me! LOL For example, I just go buggy when people attribute that great piece that Marianne Williamson wrote to Nelson Mandala...simply because he used it in a speech! (do you know the one I'm talking about? About us 'fearing' our own divinity, etc.?)
I've been gone for a bit on business, and have just gotten around to visit...I LOVE the new look here!! It really has an open, calming vibe to it! :)

I loved this post. What a wonderful message. If we could just hold onto that thought minute by minute. We would be all the better for it. THank you so much for sharing!

Thank you for sharing this. In some ways, it's "too nice." The danger here is that people will be captured by the beauty of the music and the extraordinary appropriateness of the images, and say, wow, thank you for sharing this, and then go back to life as usual.

I've been catching up on your blog, Simon, after a few busy weeks. I like the new look...very serene.
This morning, as I travelled around the 'net, it struck me that more and more, I see messages of light, of kindness, of loving energy and of hope. I see many more of these than the other, more negative energies, and at one time, not so long ago, it was the opposite.
Thank you.

Hi Harmony - Thanks for your lovely message! I think 'seem' is the operative word. I stumbled on this video while I was looking for something else!

Grace - I'm not sure if I *did* find the true author, Grace. I think I need to look into this a bit more. The guy on the link I gave sounded pretty convincing, and the bit about 'not looking outside yourself for a leader' does seem to conflict with the Hopi prophecy about a man with a red hat or a red robe coming to help them. On the other hand, I’ve just found another very interesting discussion about it all here:

I know the Marianne Williamson quote you mention. Yes, it often gets attributed to Nelson Mandela. Another favorite quote of mine is the one about life happening to you while you’re busy making other plans. That tends to be attributed to John Lennon, who used it in a song, but I’ve seen several suggestions that it’s really an earlier quote that Lennon just happened to hear and use. It doesn’t seem to have been coined by anyone famous though, so the Lennon tag has stuck.

Thanks for calling, Athena! Yes, holding on to these thoughts – or these ways of being – minute by minute is the tricky bit. Once we’ve got the knack of that, the world can be transformed.

You make a good point, Malcolm. All too often, turning away and carrying on as normal is what we do. But it is also possible that people will take away a memory of something special – and try to reconnect with it later.

Hi Marion – I’m glad you like the new look of the blog! It’s an interesting point you make about messages of light and kindness on the net. About eighteen months ago, when I first started blogging, there seemed to be very few similar blogs to this one around. Now it seems like new ones are starting up all the time. Something is going on…
Thanks for all your comments!
