I've written previously here at The Secret Of Life about Deeksha or Oneness Blessing, the transfer of energy which I've been receiving for about two and a half years now and which I believe has had a remarkable effect on my spiritual development. The aim of Deeksha is to facilitate the shift in human consciousness which many of us believe - or at any rate, hope! - is almost upon us. Deeksha works not by creating the shift - which is going to happen anyway - but by helping the brain to attune to the transformation.
Now, at the Oneness Movement's HQ in southern India, a new project is coming to fruition. The Oneness Temple is a vast structure which is 108 feet high, stands on a 42 acre plot, and contains the largest pillarless hall in Asia. It is not dedicated to any particular religion but to 'the one divine presence which is everywhere'. After many years of work, it has now been completed and is being consecrated tomorrow. Built on an intersection of ley lines, the temple is intended to act as a spiritual 'power house'. The idea is that all times, eight thousand enlightened people will be meditating in the great hall, radiating their consciousness throughout the planet, facilitating the change.
This information may produce a wide range of reactions: awe, joy, curiosity, skepticism... For myself, I look at the state of the world and see how much we need such a transformation. How else are we to find a way forward? I can only be grateful for such a project. I shall be open to whatever it may bring.
Please see my Spirituality Links page for information on Deeksha-related sites.

I am quite curious about our Deeksha, and will go take a look to learn more about it. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Can you imagine the force released if even 100 meditators held the space 24/7 for the earth? How blessed we are to be alive (on earth) at the birth of this awakening...and to share it together.
Many blessings Simon.

I would like to know if they have Deeksha groups in Los Angeles, California. I think it would be great to experience this. Let me know where to look, OK?
I have something for you on my site.
Love and Blessings,

Harmony - Thanks for your lovely message! You are quite right - even a few people meditating together seems to create an 'atmosphere' in the room. Can you imagine what it must be like walking into that temple?
Gurushabad - Thanks for your message too - it's lovely to hear from you!
Angelbaby - There will certainly be people giving Deeksha in LA. As I recall, they had a big conference there last year. The place to look is the U.S. Oneness site at https://www.onenessmovement.org
See 'Find Oneness Facilitators' on the left hand side. And while you're there, scroll down and take a look at the orbs on the home page!

Hi Simon,
I have heard of the project before but didn't know its scope. It sounds incredible. Just being in the room with like-minded individuals can create such a significant presence and harmonic convergence.
It's nice that some positive stride are bing made in the world to bring inner and outer peace.

This time...remember the effect it has that I have mentioned and don't be surprised when density within comes up to be released afterwards. It's the way the dance works: Light comes in and density comes up and out.
Or seen like a fan blade on a fan, when light comes in, the blade starts spinning faster. The faster it spins, the more dust motes comes flying off.

Hi Alexys - Thanks for dropping by. There's a lot of positive things going on in the world. The trouble is that, reading the news, it doesn't often seem like there's quite enough to make a difference to things. That's why a project like this may be so important.

Hi Sue Ann - Thanks for your timely reminder that this transformation is not going to be all sweetness and light - at least on the surface of things. Did the comments you just left (by mistake) on the 'Gateways of Light' post refer to this one, I wonder? If so, then either you were exhibiting your usual omniscience or you have heard that events at the temple did not go according to plan.
Details are sketchy but the word seems to be that several people died at the temple due to overcrowding on the day. Apparently arrangements were made for 200,000 people max but over half a million turned up. In retrospect, perhaps issuing an open invitation to everyone who wanted to come was a mistake.
While it is very saddening that some people lost their lives at what was anticipated to be a wholly joyous occasion, the vast numbers who attended are an illustration of humanity's yearning for enlightenment. I would guess that a great many of those attending will have been from the district around the temple itself. Many of these people - or their relatives and friends - will have had direct experience of what this is all about.
There are reports that the consecration itself has been postponed, but as far as I can glean, the ceremony *did* take place - it is just the attendant events which have been postponed. People are starting to return with their own (largely positive) experiences of the day. In case you are interested, here are a couple of links:

Different kinds of meditation intrigue me. India is certainly a place which echos a wealth of experienced practitioners in this area. No matter how much we learn or think we know, there is always more to learn.

Hi Liara - As I understand it, these meditators at the temple are dedicating their lives to this task. They're going to be spending pretty much *all* their time meditating until the transition is complete. (I don't suppose Sue Ann will approve...)

Speaking of which, Sue Ann has left various comments on this post at my 'Gateways Of Light' post in error, so an interesting discussion has developed over there. You can take a look (and join in) at:

I'm going to write a *post* {{simon}} addressing this subject of "oneness". There's a LOT of dis-information being expressed. "Oneness" is a state where NO concept of separation pollutes our awareness.
It's ONLY upon realizing our AT-ONE-MENT with our OWN Spiritual Presence, that we SEE "Oneness" is all that exists.

Wow! I love the new look. Just fabulous, Wow! I am going to try contacting the Facilitators tomorrow and see what happens next. I will let you know as this story continues.
Love and Blessings,

Sue Ann - I look forward to your post!
Angelbaby - Thanks for your feedback - I'm glad you like the new design. And yes, do let me know how you get on with Deeksha or if there's anything you can do to help.
Thanks for your comments, everyone! I hope to do a new post very soon, but I'm busy trying to sort out the twiddly bits of this new design - like why it won't accept my Blogrush widget....

Note: notice the date I am posting a comment asking...
How do you like all the dust stirred up so far?
Posted by: Sue Ann Edwards | May 08, 2008 at 11:04 PM
Hi Sue Ann - With the Burmese cyclone in the news, I have to say 'point taken'. (ref. Sue Ann's April 24 comment above) But aren't we led to believe that all this upheaval has to happen in any case? Are you saying that initiatives like the Oneness Temple are pushing things along too quickly and making the process more painful than it needs to be?
Posted by: Simon | May 08, 2008 at 11:14 PM
They keep displacing and projecting upon our World, THEIR perspective of it and in consideration that the perspective is one of NOT ALREADY SEEING the "oneness" that IS THERE, that ALREADY EXISTS between all the "perceived" parts, is one of conflict and separation...
Yes, I'd say there were easier ways of creating this shift for all of us. Whenever denial is sowed, denial is reaped. Look at the areas being hit. Notice the 'old' beliefs of the people's populating these areas. How "entrenched" are they? WHAT needs to come along to promote "change"?
I see the results of the use of FORCE popping up everywhere. The use of the word "push" is telling.
Especially when by the Law of Attraction the POWER of the Universe is a POWER of attraction. It is a PULL, not a push.
So my message is PULL, for God's sake, quit PUSHING. I'd call it inconsiderate and disrespectful of others of others, as we all evolve at our own pace. The object is not to get there 1st but to get there one and every. Our Whole PLANET is being lifted out of chaos. It can be done with more Grace but only if and when we choose to stop PUSHING.
Remember the saying: The oxen are slow but there Earth is patient.

I am in no position to disagree with what you say, Sue Ann, but I don't fully understand it. My understanding is that the people who are meditating at the temple *do* perceive Oneness already. If their approach is 'pushing', then how exactly do we 'pull'? Your approach appears to be for us all to take personal responsibility for transforming our consciousness. That is fine, but many of us are uncertain of how to do it - and many, many more of us don't even *know* we need to do it. It seems to me that, collectively, we need all the help we can get.
And by the way, aren't there some pretty entrenched 'old' beliefs where you live - and where I live - too? Does that mean that we're next?
As always, thanks for sharing your perspective, Sue Ann. And also as always, I'd sincerely like to know more!
